FROZEN SHOULDER
Also called adhesive capsulitis. frozen shoulder is a
painful condition. in which the capsules thickness and tightness. the shoulder
becomes stiff and inflammed, the shoulder movement become limited.
frozen shoulder is mostly common in 40 to 70 age older and
found in almost in women, the cases one million of it per year in india.
Cause - its include cardiovascular disease such as changes
in hormones during menopause, shoulder injury, diabetes, hypothyroidism, parkinsons
disease.
The shoulder joint is enclosed in capsules of connective
tissue in which condition the pain at night and some people in sleeping time in
frozen shoulder. the shoulder is not freely movable.
Stages of frozen shoulder -
Freezing painfull stage -pain in night and sleeping time 3
to 6 month.
Frozen stiffness stage -pain and stiffness; and inflammatory
6 to 12 month.
Thrawing recovery stage -pain and stiffness stopped and
movement restart 12 to 18 month.
Prevention -the frozen shoulder prevent some exercise and
use electrotherapy in frozen shoulder uses electrical device -tens,
Ultrasound infrared radiation. And as needed anti-
inflammatory drugs.
Risk factor rotator cuff injury, broken arm, stroke.
